About This Project

Hall Davis carried out preliminary design of the 9-storey structure for planning stage to facilitate in determining layouts and a more accurate cost plan. Access to the rear office building behind the site would need to be maintained during and after construction.

This posed a problem in terms of forming foundations to one end of the proposed building and to overcome this and the need for these foundations, Hall Davis designed an 8-metre vierendeel steel truss solution which cantilevered from the main reinforced concrete structure.
